Wendy Stone makes her photographs of Oxford slowly on film and paper using remarkable cameras and silver-based photographic chemistry, processes and printing. Her cameras range from 60 to 130 years old and she uses roll film, sheet film, paper and even glass plates to create images.
This view of St Giles was taken with her 1967 Rolleicord camera.
Wendy says: " Commuters hurrying to work hardly seem to notice the shadows cast by the plane trees on these Georgian frontages. Film photography is slow, so I made the time to get off my bike and line up the image before the sun climbed too high above the trees."
This print is presented unframed, in a conservation-grade mount
