Deb Sutcliffe

Deb Sutcliffe produces limited edition original prints from wood engravings and linocuts. Her work has featured numerous times in the RA’s Summer Exhibition and the Society of Wood Engravers Annual Exhibition.  

In contrast to the highly-detailed pieces often associated with wood engraving, Deb’s work is primarily an exploration of the strength and beauty of line. In a world that is often fast and furious, she says, “I try to create work that is calming and contemplative”.

Her recent projects include a limited-edition letterpress book, Animals from Antiquity, featuring a series of linocuts drawn from the collections of Oxford’s Ashmolean Museum.
