Asymmetry, bold lines and atypical forms typify Oxford jeweller Céline Bateman-Paris' work; "I believe jewels are more than decorative items, they are a canvas for self-expression," she says.

Since childhood Céline has thrived on the satisfaction of creating things with her own hands, and says handcrafted pieces carry forward stories of quality, sustainability and individual craftsmanship. 

Her journey as a jewellery maker started when she met Swiss jeweller Martin
Näf in 2012. "I was immediately drawn to his craft which felt enchanted and intriguing," she says. "I loved the fire, its sparks, the silver dust and the gemstones. His organic teaching approach gave me an instinctive feel for silversmithing."

Since becoming a jeweller Céline has designed and crafted bespoke earrings, wedding rings, signet rings, cuffs, pendants and brooches, making unique pieces that give the wearer the feeling of being one of a kind.
